SPECIALIST IN FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY.

I am a food, event, and portrait photographer based in the beautiful rolling hills near Ross-on-Wye, South Herefordshire. I specialise in capturing events in low light without flash, aiming to capture truly candid shots. And in studio - my portraits are often tonally darker and moodier than other local photographers. My food and product photography is almost always dramatically lit - I love to play with colour, as well as the contrast of a dark moody background to make colours really pop! Unlike many other photographers, I have chosen to publish my PRICES - I think it's important, especially in these uncertain times, for individuals and businesses to know what to expect, and to be able to budget.

I am Cathy

And I am obsessed with photography. My work has two distinct sides - event and wedding photography, versus studio - which includes portraits as well as food and products.

When I'm at an event or wedding, I love people watching. When shooting events, I make it my mission to capture the details that people tend to miss - the candid expressions and reactions of guests, details of products and the venue as well as whatever or whomever is the star of the show on the day!

When I'm in studio, I get to be a bit bossier! Not many people regularly go for a studio session - it's a strange environment, with lots of flashing lights, and it's not always easy to relax in front of the camera! My job is to support you through posing and expression to get you and your fiancée / partner / family comfortable in front of the camera so we can incorporate both posed and natural moments on your session. From a moody fine art style shoot to a more traditional posed family style, I am here for you.

I love trying creative things in a fast paced environment. I adapt to any given situation and try to bring the beauty out that is already there. This is your day, lets have fun with it and make memories.

We not long returned from our honeymoon and had the joy of finding your photos waiting for us in our mail.

What an amazing sight we had! You certainly captured the love, warmth and silliness of the occasion.

Dave spent yesterday uploading all the 'top shot' pictures to his Facebook and he's been inundated with requests for the pictures.

We're going to put a photobox book together of the pictures and have some choice pictures printed out and will send them to some of our guests.

Dave's mum has some brilliant pictures and it will mean so much to her to have them sent to her in hard copy. Her face in the pictures is joy in itself.

You managed to capture some moments which demonstrated the magic we were feeling on the day and we had a perfect mix of candid and staged shots which encapsulated the entire festival.

I can't thank you enough for taking time out of your day to come and photograph this precious event for us.

Dave would like to also add that Wayne's iron maiden shirt was captured spectacularly and it's one of his favourite pictures (not including me of course).

The piper and the harpist pictures were well appreciated and the group shots were amazing!

Thank you once again. I appreciate you must do lots of weddings but hopefully our wedding provided you with an additional layer of zany interlude.
